Here is a possible real-world analogous connection to my understanding of
TRP here in SL, if I am correct
in my interpretation:

The Koen Brothers, moviemakers of ideas,  kept a guy on staff to come to
their whiteboard
meetings whose job was to suggest the most irrelevant plot moves to the
story board for consideration.
To force them off their abstractions and to find and create
life in the plot and characters.

Also reminds me of Iris Murdoch saying one way to show Shakespeare's great
genius is to experience the
minor characters. THEY LIVE with only minor meanings usually, a sign of
reality beyond ideas.
