I'm re-reading White Noise. Early in the novel, DeLillo writes: 'technology
is lust removed from nature'. Beyond the pynchonian echoes, I can't help
being reminded of that idea as one thinks of all the engenius materials of
destruction being meted out in Israel, Gaza, Ukraine and elsewhere. a truly
depressing thought.
senseless, thoughtless entities driven by nothing beyond its goal, zero.
the legacy of the V-2 is alive and kicking
