throughout history, and has been given many different applications.

Ahab is only in a CALM state when he is focused on HIS MADNESS.  His
madness is SINGLE-MINDED: revenge…

But the PURPOSE (ultimate goal) is the REESTABLISHMENT of himself as the
PRIME MOVER.  …so we already know that it can’t end well.
