CoL49 Schedule Update

David,
You are correct that I meant pages per week rather than days. I didn’t update the timeline I posted this morning other than changing the names of hosts based on changes I've been told by others. Again, the schedule was posted on April 22 and can be seen in the archive.
As to the 15 pages at the end of chapter 5, I was estimating the a-version (183pgs) of the book, because I have the shorter 152 pg version. So I’m not sure the a-version is accurate.
I’m happy to adjust the schedule that we voted to have. For the vote I posted both a 5 page and 10 page possible schedule that you can see in the April archive.
Also if that week in July doesn’t work for you, I would trade any other of my weeks with you.
I never had a problem with the division of the chapters, as the original schedule from April 22nd  shows, which is why the pages per week isn’t consistent.
If the group would like to shift to 5 pages per week from here out, I’ll also make that revision. Can we hear from the other participants about this?
I think that if, as has been suggested in earlier posts, we continue to GR, then a 5 page per week schedule makes more sense for that longer, denser text.
I don’t want to see this fall apart, and I’m willing to work with the group to find solutions if the schedule no longer works.
In solidarity,

James

BTW, if you mean to propose a 10 page per week pace, you are presently proposing 15 pages per week for Chapter 3.  Why do that when we are ALREADY falling behind?
Also, I see that you have chosen to follow my advice that we divide the sections to fit within the Chapters, as opposed to a strictly pages-driven pace.  I seem to recall you having a problem with this approach earlier.

Nobody ever proposed “5 days” (did you mean “pages?”).  I don’t remember any “group” decided a “10 day pace.”  (again, do you mean “10 pages [per week] pace?).
Are you on the decimal week?

While this schedule that you posted was for 5 days, as a group, we agreed that we would maintain a 10 day pace. The schedule may go over that a bit, I took the first chapter, which was more than 10 pages, but it made no sense to break up that small chapter. Same with the last chapter.
If you look back in the April archive, you will see the first schedule, and the opportunity to vote on either schedule. While you voted for 5 days per week, the majority chose 10. The reason I didn’t update your suggested schedule was because it had 5 day per week segments. You seem to be upset that we didn’t chose your option, but that is how democratic process works.
There are some significant differences in pagination between the two versions of the book; that was hard to create an equal share of pages.
If you can’t host on the week in July, hopefully someone or myself will take it.

That’s funny! I think I remember SOMEONE getting all snippy about THIS schedule (that I posted about FOUR TIMES), for some odd reason… but I don’t think I ever saw any update posted here for beyond Chapter 2.

But you have (probably wisely) increased the number of pages per section from about 8 to now 15.  So, either everyone keeps up the faster pace, or the whole thing falls apart faster…

I updated this based on some people not being able to participate or having dropped off. I provided the host summary and questions for this week, but we have James R for next week. Can anyone take that host week? I am taking Jemmy’s week on the 23rd of June. After that I posted the rest of the read simply by repeating the order from the beginning. The only other host that hasn’t contributed during the 1st half is Richard at the end.

I will take that week if no one else can. If changes need to be made, email me, and I’ll revise and repost the schedule. The whole original schedule was posted in April, just before we started on the 29th of April.

Here is the revised as of now schedule:

CHAPTER 4:
