I might be interested in a COL49 group read. I think of it as akin to SL,
as a kind of immature venture into “paranoia” as a deeper concept. It’s
prose is starting towards the really flourishing kind we eventually see as
Pynchon’s hallmark, but the paranoia issues are still mostly cliche
