I wrote:
“Whereas later on, the slow denuding of her - now that she’s
de-encapsulated - on the occasion of their umptieth coupling is compared to
the slow revelation of The Tristero. So it’s also the beginning - of the
next step.”

Obviously that’s all muddled up. They played Strip Botticelli and watched
Igor that first night.

Now that they’ve been doing it for awhile, my comment should be something
more like, “Fallopian’s revelations are the beginning of the next step, the
first removal of an earring from the overdressed mystery of The Tristero,
like Oedipa back in that first night at Echo Court - a mystery which will
reveal itself as slowly as…” (etc)
