Gerhardt von Göll used it as a movie title & Goebbels gobbled it up

Wasn’t one of his other movie titles  “Jugend herauf”?
so we know he played with common phrases


Detournement of the idea of Good Society advanced by the Luxembourg faction
seems reasonable as the little description included seems like it’s from a
film which both excoriates the Weimar decadence & titillates the Nazi
viewers:

“Margherita played the lesbian in the café, “the one with the monocle,
who’s whipped to death at the end by the transvestite, remember?”

(Apparently Slothrop has seen it too)
