GR translation: yellow Africa

I was thinking this may be an Africa-themed carousel. The storks seem to be
real storks nesting in the ruins, but the "dainty black snakes a hundred
feet below meandering in the sunlight" seems to be painted since it's
currently night time.

The second edition of the published translation interpreted this as the
storks dreaming of "the yellow sands of Africa", which I don't think is
correct.
