Jeepers, it’s a fricken novel

A) Reddit and Facebook have Pynchon groups of sorts, they aren’t even super horrible imho, but this is so nice to have a text-based thingie that isn’t from big social media.

Grateful for that!

Other points:

B) It’s, like, easy - pouring urine out of a boot easy - to ignore a post. Those people who won’t let you change lanes: you’re literally asking them to lift one foot a half inch - it’s like that.

C) Every so often Mark hits the gong resoundingly - my favorites are when he talks about the publishing industry as when John Updike told him he had a funny face, or other less lightweight tales.

Even if I didn’t like the other ones - which I’m not saying - a Kohut post is often at least worth a Quick Look

D) Quick Look - ( O-O ) an expression Pynchon uses in BE and now in ST I’ve never seen anywhere else - but have a feeling he didn’t invent…

E) And nice to see something, anything, on this “Liste” as it was sometimes denoted somewhere…can’t remember where or when, but it left me still thinking of it as the Pynchon Liste

F) Totally free - I donated a couple times but nowadays there isn’t even a place on waste.org to do that anymore. Again, gratitude, major gratitude. This is where I first heard of Pomo - mixed blessing perhaps…but appreciated.


G) Nobody ever responds to me - well, hardly ever, and never point-for-point (not that I do either to others) - I know I’m a crackpot, though, so as the saying goes, “have intercourse with them if they’re incapable of appreciating the humor!”
It’s just a fricken Pynchon Liste!

H) all in all, it’s like the Sofa King: Sofa King good!

J) all these people wanting another GR - it’s like the time I heard a liquored-up dude (true story) yelling “Free Bird” at a comedian! I stole that and used it in yoga class when the instructor asked if we had specific āsana requests … but I digress…early and often -

May you all be blessed with happiness and Pynchon-appreciation even if you, as does one reviewer, “know somebody who had dinner with Pynchon and they talked about real estate” as if that proves anything…much love, posters, lurkers, people who never heard of the Liste, or of Pynchon -
