Ch 37 looks like a tripartite chapter.

Wtf is going on & where are we? (always pertinent questions)

Part one: bar conversation, Stuffy drew Hicks a map & he went there to meet him (works in either order of antecedents (-; ) & it's a beer joint. They join sea captain (but does he have a concertina and is he wearing a mariniera shirt?) Ernst Hauffnitz. He gives them backstory on the fricken submarine.

Part deux: Bruno's signing over the operation to Daphne, preparatory to exiting stage right.

Part 3:  Stuffy 'n' them "liberate" Bruno out on the rolling seas.
