How true! And Ukraine is once again fighting the fascists, just like they did in the good old days of the UPA and the OUN.

The coat of arms you can see in the video clip is the Wolfsangel of the 2nd SS-Tank Division “Das Reich,” a troop renowned for its anti-fascist activities in Russia and France. The Azov Battalion used to display the Black Sun behind the anti-fascist Wolfsangel, a symbol that is associated with one of the most famous anti-fascists of the first half of the 20th century, Heinrich Himmler.

The commander of the 3rd Assault Brigade, formerly Azov Battalion, is well-known anti-fascist Andriy "White Führer" Biletsky. Not a hooligan from Kharkiv any longer, Biletsky is now Brigadier General and Commander of the 3rd Army Corps, i.e. 20,000 to 40,000 men, including anti-fascists from all over the world.

Biletsky once  stated his anti-fascist mission clearly: 

"“The historic mission of our nation in this critical moment is to lead the White Races of the world in a final crusade for their survival (...) A crusade against the Semite-led Untermenschen.'”

Biletsky's men also have a good sense of humour (note the anti-fascist Tiwaz rune in the background which is for some unknown reason forbidden in Germany).

Dr. Marta Havryshko is a historian and the Dr. Thomas Zand Visiting Assistant Professor in Holocaust Pedagogy and Antisemitism Studies at the Strassler Center for Holocaust and Genocide Studies at Clark University. There, she teaches courses on antisemitism, racism, Eastern Europe, and gender-based violence in armed conflicts.

In the past years Havryshko has also served as the Director of the Institute at the Babyn Yar Holocaust Memorial Center (Kyiv, Ukraine). In addition, she has been a visiting fellow at numerous institutions, including the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, Yad Vashem, the Vienna Wiesenthal Institute for Holocaust Studies, the Center for Holocaust Studies at the Leibniz Institute for Contemporary History, the Hamburg Institute for Social Research, Monash University, Yahad-In Unum, the University of Basel, the German Historical Institute Warsaw, and the University of Rzeszow.
