At the *98th Academy Awards* held on March 15, 2026, the film *One Battle
After Another*—which is a loose adaptation of Pynchon’s 1990 novel
*Vineland*—swept the ceremony. While the Oscars are awarded to the
filmmakers, the evening was essentially a massive tribute to Pynchon's
literary legacy.
