{"id":88,"date":"2011-02-16T18:07:48","date_gmt":"2011-02-17T00:07:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/waste.org\/starfive\/?p=88"},"modified":"2011-02-16T18:07:48","modified_gmt":"2011-02-17T00:07:48","slug":"thing-16-stylish-wrist-supports","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/waste.org\/starfive\/2011\/02\/16\/thing-16-stylish-wrist-supports\/","title":{"rendered":"thing 16: stylish wrist supports"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/starfive\/5451681569\/\" title=\"DSC_0016 by starfive, on Flickr\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm6.static.flickr.com\/5139\/5451681569_2b26c40aca_z.jpg\" width=\"640\" height=\"428\" alt=\"DSC_0016\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nmy wrists get sore sometimes from using my laptop. my ankles also get sore (not from the laptop) and i wear compression socks once in a while to make them feel better. they increase blood flow, which seems to help. i wondered if they made such a thing for wrists.. and of course they do. but i wasn&#8217;t sure i wanted to pay for some ugly weird gloves to wear.. so i wondered if i could make some myself. <\/p>\n<p>and it seems that i can! and mine are much more stylish. they probably aren&#8217;t perfect.. i know compression socks push more in certain areas, which this does to some degree, but not quite as well. but after wearing them for a couple hours, my wrists feel a little better.<\/p>\n<p>i found that the seam on the inside bugged me.. so i&#8217;ve taken to wearing them inside out. one thing i will change if i make another pair is to plan for that and serge the outside seam to make it look nicer.
