So, I have not LARPed in, like, 2 years or so. I am largely thankful for this. If you don't know what LARP is, you are probably better off not knowing, but I'll provide a quick definition anyway. Live Action Role-Playing is a more rules-oriented version of How to Host a Murder Mystery. Some people like to call it Improvisational Theater, in order to hide that they're being big geeks, but really, it's all pretty much the same thing. People dressing up in costume and pretending to be some sort of hero or villain or creature of the night or something, while a whole bunch of other people are doing the same thing. Entertaining in small doses, but after a while, it can get tiring, depending on your level of tolerance for that sort of thing.

However, there have been a couple of good LARPs around Minneapolis, and although I don't really have much to say about them (one being dead, and the other never having experienced), they are head and shoulders above a lot of games.
