The Group the International of Work on indigenous Subjects, IWGIA, is one organizacion international, independent, founded on 1968, whose Secretaryship the International is in the city of Copenhagen.
IWGIA supports to the towns indigenous worldwide towards of our programs of human rights, projects and publications.
IWGIA has estatus consultative in Social the Economica Commission, ECOSOC.
Between ours contrapartes, IWGIA has collaborated with Popular the indigenous Council of Oaxaca - Ricardo Flores Magon, having facilitated the participation of its delegates to international encounter, in which I participate and I cofinance the Mexican State.
In which to us it concerns, Popular the indigenous Council of Oaxaca and in individual their leader Raul Gatica, comes making an important work in defense from the indigenous towns, reason why he deserves the greater one of our respect.
We considered of extreme importance the indigenous organization support, like Popular the indigenous Council of Oaxaca, who does not have the economica capacity to participate in encounter where its future is discussed.
