Very nice, Stuart. The Oedipa Maas/Molly Millions resonance is one
I'd never noticed before. How about some comment on:

----
(5) The way ALL of cyberpunk links back to "HEART-TO-HEART, MAN-TO-MAN"
(and maybe also "NEW DOPE") in GR. "You had to come back... into a
dying hunk of smelly MEAT..." This road runs into Burroughs country
too.
----

As an at least nominally cyberpunk writer, I have an interest in such
correlations.

(Are you still working on or associated with the Hypercard _GR_ that
you sent me a version of [when you were still at Yale, I believe]?)

Oh yes--Pynchon and Burroughs as precursors, yes, absolutely; but
Ballard ought to be tucked in there very closely; the Ballardian semioscape
is constantly present for Gibson, Sterling, me.

	Tom
