Extended into outer space, gravity becomes curved. A rainbow, viewed from abov
e, is circular in shape. Gravity is up/dow, yes/no, etc. most of the time (Poi
ntsman, so to speak). Rainbow colors open up In the Zone for Slothrop--just as
they do for Dorothy in Ozland. Parabolic shapes depend on circumstances and
the observation point of the viewer. Gravity is occasionally rainbow and rainb
ow gravity. All has a sensitive dependence on initial conditions. Hence GR is
chaotic and only Pynch knows the strange attractor.
