Someone pointed out a rumor about Kurt Cobain--that he'd been influenced 
by GR when he wrote "Smells Like Teen Spirit."  Fine.  Very interesting.  
I'm sure we'll all run to our texts and search for some telling phrase, 
and that might be illuminating and so the note is valuable.  But the same 
person also noted that Kurt probably wasn't _able_ to read GR.  And I 
say, give Kurt a break.  It seems that his intelligence fueled his drive 
to cultivate attributes of an 'underground man.'  Read his lyrics--they 
are not always a simple as they appear.  Now that I've said that, we 
might consider looking toward 'Byron the Bulb' (when the light's out/it's 
less dangerous.)

Next, They'll be saing that Kurt's suicide is to be blamed on Pynchon.  
Phew. . . .
