But seriously folks.  If you were among the most celebrated and successful
literary desaparecidos of the 20th century, wouldn't this list be the 
last place you would show up?  "Excuse me, I'm just going to take a 
little vacation from my life for 20 years or so, until this bunch of 
academics with nothing much to do besides chew over my old books entices me 
out of seclusion..."  I don't think so.

But then again, the best thing about the Man is that you *can't* know him.  
So whatthefuck, maybe I'm wrong.
