Folks--
My earlier post about Pynchon as a time-hopping immortal who
sheds one identity for another as they're blown or become 
compromised (Pynchon to Salinger to Traven to Bierce to ?), I
now realize, is your typical Woolfian Orlando riff, and I now
wonder if any of Pynchon's previous ID's were (plausibly) female,
and how this relates to his portrayals of women in his fiction.
