Another J.L. reference to GR last night. It was kind of funny. John has
invited two girls to his party, both  of whom he is after (I'm assuming;
I came in on it late). The first girl is talking with him when he
realizes that Carly, the other, is coming to the party. He takes the
first girl and shows her a book--GR. She seems fascinated. He says
"have you read it?" she says no so he says "here, sit down. read it"
It was a moment. Maybe you had to see it. but I thought it was a clever
way to keep someone occupied. ANd she just sat down to do it. THanks to
the writers for making women seems so intelligent--please! Oh I'll just
do anything you think is wise. So John--you're trying to impress us with
your knowledge of great writers? Why not first let us believe that you
see us (women) as something more than barmaids and Cinderellas. The cop
character--dumb as can be. Disappointing cause he's really (rilly) funny.
