GR film

I know this discussion has gone by the wayside, but I was just cleaning up my
mailbox and was reminded of a director I thought could be good for a GR film.
The guy who directed "Zentropa." It came out a couple of years ago, don't
know if it's on video. Probably is somewhere. Worth watching. Great train
sequence, ala opening of GR.

I have to say, in what is sure to be an unpopular statement, I think a film
could be made of GR.In fact, there are so many cinematic motifs in the novel,
you could say TRP is daring someone to so it. Sure it would be a truncated,
episodic thing. But such a film would be true to the novel itself. Just
consider ER, pretty darn good bit of popular TV. It's not really to far off
in style from GR. It's bizarre, characters come and go, stories are left
unresolved. Not to put ER on the same plane  as GR, of course, but if you had
the guts, and the director, you could do it. And TRP might even enjoy it.
