"Zentropa" was directed by Lars von Trier, a Danish filmmaker who also made
the much better "The Element of Crime," "Epidemic" and "Medea." "Zentropa"
is actually a "negative" filming of Kafka's "America." His latest work is
the tv serial "Ghosts", a bizarre parody of a hospital soap opera,
currently broadcasted every Saturday evening on the German/French "Arte"
channel.

This has little to do with Pynchon and is just a footnote to the above posting.
