Kurt apparently made (it was some number of _Esquire_ - haven't seen it)
a mention of the influence of some _GR_ passage on "SLTS". He did not
tell which. We speculated on the enigma last summer. I suggested the song
you mention, "Spirit is so --con, --tay, --juss etc." The song itself is,
sure, quite Dionysian and affirmative in "spirit". Maybe the "double
agent hell" episode (or what the hell it is) as a whole is more
suggestive of the (disillusioned and impure?) "spirit" of Cobain's song.
Oh yes, those pops of poetic purity, Wimsatt and Beardsley, would no doubt
say that it is "intentional fallacy" to make anything of any author's
afterthoughts
(but then again, what do we have in the refrain, jeepers!
"a mulatto, an albino" -- that's Enzian and (roughly speaking)
Gottfried, right? => "a mosquito", can't really be anyone else
but the ol' prick himself, Capt..
