Pynchon in '68

John Hamill mentions Pynchon's vow not to pay the War Tax in 1968. One
public mention of this at the time appears in the *New York Review of
Books* for February 15, 1968, on page 9: this carries a full-page ad
from the ``Writers and Editors War Tax Protest,'' listing over 400
writers who say they're going to withhold income taxes (either
potentially or actually); Pynchon is one of those on the list.
