tank girl

i just thought this was a neat connection (i am making no claim on
authorial intent by the scripters of the comic/film) but for those
who've seen "Tank Girl", anybody notice that the Cole Porter number
in the middle was, well, Pynchonic? i mean, in the middle of
rescuing a little girl threatened by a pedophile from an elaborate
whorehouse in the middle of a wasteland a rather assertive pair of
young women strike up a rendition of "Let's Fall in Love" surrounded
by military and sexual symbols, interrupted at the end by a
paramilitary counterattack...i dunno, all i could think was "Floozy
w/ an Uzi" from vineland...

obviously, trp's style in GR has some comic-book stylistic
elements...has there been any discussion about pynchon's impact on
comic books, particularly the graphic novel form? anyway, curious to
know what other people think...
