Has anyone noticed the weirdly prophetic "Event" that occurs in Oklahoma City
in _Vineland_, when Frenesi & Brock are in a hotel room together there?  p.
215: 

"Just when she thought they were nestled safe in the center of America -- here
were sounds in the air they couldn't have imagined, roars too deep for any Air
Force jets from Tinker, some nonliquid clattering on the roof [...]."

That one's a funnel cloud, but still...

On the web page, by the way, we changed the icon for _Vineland_ from the cover
of the paperback to the deforestation photo of the hardcover upon receiving
reliable intelligence that the cover of the hardcover _Vineland_ is the only
book jacket that TRP has gotten to choose, & that he much prefers it to the
paperback art.
