About 10 years ago I read a novel by a Brit called HIROSHIMA JOE
which was about a British POW in Japan who was captured in Hong
Kong in '41 when it fell to the Greater Southeast Asia Co-Pros-
perity Sphere. Needless to say, he was fated to ba assigned to
a labor detail on a farm on the outskirts of Hiroshima in the
summer of '45.
Another tuff life, no?
