Wonder Boys

Michael Chabon's Wonder Boys which has been out for a couple of months is 
about a pot-smoking writer who is trying to finish his magnum opus 
(compared to GR by name in the novel), but his life spins outta control 
to the point where he gives up this 3000 pg. quest for the love of a 
woman.  There are a couple of pynchon references including the name of 
his agent's publisher German conglomerate-Blicero gmbh or some such.  I 
thought it very witty with not too subtle asides on "that" (not Pynchon) 
person trying to write the next GR and its ramifications (comic and 
otherwise).
