The reader trap of jailbait

My two cents:

There wouldn't have been much impact to the incident if Bianca is just 
another _big_ girl Slothrop has sex with. 

At the same time, the author wants to be "accurate". He knows what's
awaiting him out here. So, he decides to save a lot of rewriting 
by describing B. (and forming the reader's perception) through the eyes of 
goofy old Tyrone, of whom nobody is going to expect a whole lot of accuracy
anyway.

The fact that Bianca is _experienced_ keeps the scene from being too gross.
