Hi Nicholas,

I wonder if you know how popular you are now. I feel certain
that you'll be getting plenty of requests for that song info. I would
like to have it, myself.
I just finished a paper on Pynchon and his possible
alliances/awareness of, etc. with Roky Erikson of the 13th Floor
Elevators/Bleib Alien, etc. Along with "It's a Cold Night for
Alligators," there was one song, in particlar, that made me flip (flop.)
It was called "She Lives (In a Time of Her Own)" and I titled my paper
the same. Both songs, not in title alone, recall something of _V._ I
was so excited to hear the second, in the car one day, realizing the
seeming implications. Before I got home, I stopped to drop off the
recycling and saw, on the ground before me, a paper cut-out Cinderella
doll (she was in her ball gown--which is, if you look at it, pretty
suggestive in itself. and I don't just mean a low neckline.) There She
was. She didn't have a head. This was relevant to another paper I'd
written on the destruction of the Goddess as an issue that informs _V._
Those many Goddess figurines found in Old Europe were often found
headless. Some speculate that this was due to a general eradication of
Her power, and so, the symbolic gesture. Others say it's just a fact of
excavation (hmmm.)
	Anyhow, my ranting.

About _The Dance of the Wu Li Masters_, a great book. I have
done a bit of work on Pynchon and chaos theory (Look for my article on
_Strange Attractors in VINELAND_ in CRITICAL MASS.) I am reading GR for
the second time and hope to scan the surface via chaos, which is a
monumental statement. I hope to do this, anyhow. Certainly, quantum
physics, as prob. the 2nd major scientific disc. of this C., will figure
into this work. Without it, chaoticians would have had little
opportunity to locate the necessary bifurcation points relative to their
evolution.

I'm teaching a class, so have to go now. Keep in touch.

Bonnie
