The Coventry bombing controversy surfaces periodically on sci.crypt
and talk.politics.crypto.  The consensus seems to be that, although
it was long believed that Churchill knew in advance, recent scholarship
-- with the benefit of newly declassified information about the
cryptanalysis of Enigma -- indicates that he did not receive the
pertinent intelligence in time to consider evacuating the city.
