Hello:

The stuff in the intro about Pynchon in Mexico comes from the article by 
Jules Siegel entitled "Who Is Thomas Pynchon...and why did he take off 
with my wife."  It was in the March 1977 issue of Playboy.  It's a great 
and insightful article.
