I was the fellow who happened to mention Barth's FRIDAY BOOK in
another connection on the list, and am indebted to hear of the
new sequel!  And as Barth sez, "THe Literature of Exhaustion
does not imply the exhaustion of literature"!!!
Fun thought experiment:  a future world where one of the few
surviving texts twentieth century texts is GR, and the "learned"
exegeses thereon by future Anthropologists, critics, etc.
