Just catching up with four days mail:
1)  Is John Cleese's next movie to be titled A FISH NAMED TYRONE?
2)  In my SF EYE article about pynchon wannabees, I had nasty
things to say about David Foster Wallace's A BROOM OF THE SYSTEM,
which struck me as a point-for-point ripoff of CL49. but 
completists might WANNA CHECK IT OUT ANYHOW.  Alos, on the positive
side, Edward Whittemore, who was writing THE JERUSALEM QUARTET (but
I've only seen the first three, and forget the titles now).
3)  Olga's unwanted message is a prime opportunity inviting us to
rewrite Pynchon's novels as personal ads.  You know: "Coprophagic
older WM looking for willing WF...."
4)  One of my first posts to the list was establishing the well
known "fact" that one immortal soul has inhabited the three (
actually, many) bodies known as Ambrose Bierce, B. Traven and TRP,
shifting identities everytime THEY got too hot on his tracks!
