          Yo Dude,
               This morning in the Sports pages a ballplayer reported
          that he got two requests for authographs that began, "yo,
          could you sign this?  yo?"  He turned to his teammate and
          reported quzzically, "I think I just got yoed."  Which
          would make "yo" a v.t.?
               Since there is so much shameless punning, haikuing,
          palindroming, and such, around here, I thought I might
          resurrect an old one attributed to Lord Acton, or somebody:
          If Wanda Tinasky married Howard Hughes and divorced him to
          marry Henry Kissinger, she'd be Wanda Hughes Kissinger now.
