The Traven episode on the set of Treasure of Sierra Madre is related in 
Will Wyatt: The Secret of the Sierra Madre, the man who was B. Traven 
[published by Doubleday, 1980] page 132ff. Traven was a technical 
consultant on the film, using the name Hal Croves.
For DADA enthusiasts, remember Arthur Craven,  one of the most flamboyant 
of the early Dadaists, was thought to have disappeared into Mexico.
