I saw this film before I read GR. I'll have to see it again. I agree with 
you that it was much better than one would expect. And the ending was 
superb; totally unexpected. An interesting mix of humour, romance, death, 
and destruction. But you are the first person I've ever heard of who 
liked the film. Interesting.
