Analog / Digital / Information Transfer in Pynchon's novels

	all that stuff about entropy and information, man, that's
a series of red herrings, and the man himself (intro to slow
learner) admits that he misunderstodo the uses of the word and
concept entropy.  the best piece of criticism of the story
"entropy" is John Dugdale's.  I would be surprised, given the
number of critics who take Pynchon's narrators references to
entropy and disorder at face value, that there's any work left to
do on this topic.  good luck.
