OK, everyone: I've gotten a number of queries about Firsts magazine, so
here's the skinny:

The magazine is devoted to collecting modern first editions.  Each issue
conatins articles that focus on a particular writer and/or genre (for
example, the June issue features "Collecting James M. Cain" and "Noir
Photoplays").  It is a wonderful magazine, though a bit pricey at $4.50 per
issue.  It is published monthly, except for one issue that is bimonthly
(July/August).  Back issues are available; each issue contains an order
form for them.  Some authors featured in the past have been Cormac
McCarthy, Jack Finney, Wallace Stegner, Edward Abbey, Jack London and
Charles Bukowski.  For subscriptions ($35 US, $50 Canada/Mexico, $75
elsewhere) or other information, pick up an issue at your local newstand or
write to:

As for the proof of GR, a listing from Ken Lopez, on page 17 of the June
issue, notes:

        "The printer's proof of Gravioty's Rainbow"

is available.  No price is given, but you can bet it's expensive.  For
