Pynchon at Boeing

John Krafft and I once were e-mailing back and forth wondering why none of
Pynchon's technical writing at Boeing had ever surfaced, other than the
article in Aerospace Safety. Some article or another once mentioned an
allegedly brilliant article on soldering, which intrigued both of us
(although I am somewhat embarrassed to admit it). Now I find that I will be
heading up to Seattle in a month or so, although probably for too short a
time to do any digging. But it makes me wonder: Has anyone out there tried
to get access to the Boeing archives, if any such thing exists? My suspicion
is that access would not be available to the general public, due to the
potential for uncovering state secrets and the like, but I'm curious. But if
you've ever tried to research this, drop me a line.

Bob
