this is in no way an attempt to draw a serious comparison, but it is 
interesting that quentin tarantino's films make use of the same 
practice--using characters again, even in brief mention--tarantino 
has claimed that this is because he's too lazy to tihnk up new names 
(i don't think we could make the same claim about trp)--but it does 
give both sets of work a certain 'three-dimensional' quality.  
anyway, its interesting...
