Ted Samsel cites:
"Hogan Slothrop, albeit anachronistically"
I don't think so. The Hogan of "The Secret Integration," set in the 1960s when
the story was written, is the son of Dr. Slothrop--presumably Hogan, *Sr.* and
brother of Tyrone.
BTW, has anyone noticed one interesting omission by TRP in "TSI"? For all the
story's theme of racism and color, and the fact that the black family in town
is named Barrington, P was apparently unaware that the Berkshire city of
Great Barrington, Mass. (which probably inspired the family's name) was the
birthplace of civil rights leader W.E.B. Dubois.

(Another fun fact: Mankato was *not* named for "my main man, Kato Kaelin"!)
