This will be THE NEON BIBLE, directed by Terrance Davies. The book is more
of a straight autobiographical novel, based on Toole's early family life.
Whereas his mother did everything she could to get DUNCES published she
was less happy about this one seeing the light of day.

I've read DUNCES about three times and it still gets me every time. Never
understand how come no-one tried to make it into a film with John Candy in
the role of Ignatius.
