Reversing the influence, eh? Sounds interesting. Or even ultraparadoxical. 
But merely *reading* Dickens in Pynchonian terms stops short of a genuine 
Pynchonian interpretation.

I suggest we consider the works of Charlie D. as *influenced* by Pynchon 
(gratuitous metaphor about The Rocket /Slothrop's erections helpfully 
completed here for those who didn't get it the first time).

Yeah, What then?
