"All Things Considered" blurb on Pynchon?

Hi all,

A friend swears that "within the last month" she heard a short
blurb on All Things Considered (NPR's afternoon news show) about
some guy who claims to have "found" Thomas Pynchon.

Using the NPR web pages, I've searched ATC's daily summaries for
September and October without turning up a citation.  If the blurb
were only a short news item, though, it would not be in the news
summaries.

Does anyone on the Pynchon list remember hearing such a piece?
Can anyone at the ATC site help me locate the news item?  Many
Pynchon fans would be most interested!
