Two unrelated topics

1)  All this talk of Artie Shaw's wives brings to mind a 
highly entertaining book issued about five or seven years ago
and called something like WHO'S HAD WHO.  It traced celebrity
couplings in such a manner that one started and ended with the 
most unlikely links.  One such short obvious chain is Sinatra-
Farrow-Allen, but the examples in the book were much 
more amazing and went on for pages!  Six degrees of separation
indeed!
2) The issue of the femininity of Death was raised recently
and this brought to mind Bukowski's last novel, P
PULP, in which Death was a literal woman who hired the PI
narrator and eventually bagged his bones in the end.  Try it!
