Chris Stolz complains:
"she is, like her diss. adviser Bloom, fundamentally a monloguist who
speaks in sound bites and one-liners and doesn't listen to her opponents,
plus she drinks too much coffee."

Paglia is the Quentin Tarantino of cultural criticism. A mistress of the
intentional shock effect, at her best she is amusing but about as shallow
as a Colorado creek in a dry summer.

I'm wending my slow way through Bloom's THE WESTERN CANON, speaking of shallow.
He has an occasional insight into a work, but he could have cut the book
by 2/3 and not lost anything!
