Pynchon/Nabokov

But I'm wondering what you all think of the BIG connection here. Surely, as
Pynchon was a voracious reader, he was familiar with Nabokov. Since he was
his student, I would assume that his work was influenced by VN in some way.
And his first novel was titled _V._, for crying out loud. I'm just curious if
there could be any connection between Nabokov and the title. Just a hunch...
