R. crumb

Hello all-

    I just saw the film "Crumb" (about sixties artist R. Crumb) & it 
put me in a Pynchon frame of mind. It also reanimated some old rumors 
I had heard- that TRP & R. Crumb had had plans to collaborate on some 
comics or graphic novel-type things. Apparently the project has 
since been abandoned. Does anyone know anything about this?
By the way, the movie is quite good....

A thoroughly pedantic note- there is a restaurant called Genghis 
Cohen's near the corner of Fairfax and Beverly here in LA. It doesn't 
look like it's been around for long. No Kung Pao Tristero on the menu 
either. Quite a disappointment....
